In this episode, I had the pleasure of hosting Ben Munro. Ben and I talked about delivering commercial insurance via API, about his company--Briza, building a company that service insurance agents and insurance carriers, founding and funding a startup, CX vs. KPI, and Lord of the Rings.
In 2015 or 2016, you didn't have APIs to work with. There was no way to connect back into insurers. For the most part. What you ended up having was a very user-friendly slick website, a very very nice kind of online experience, but it was really a call center that was trying to fulfill those risk placements.
